Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all removalist services provided by Gold Coast Leading Removals (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By booking or using our services, you (“you”, “the customer”) agree to these Terms.
1. Services
We provide removalist services including packing, loading, transportation, unloading, unpacking, and storage (where applicable).
Services are provided based on the information supplied by the customer at the time of booking.
2. Quotes and Pricing
- All quotes are estimates unless stated as a fixed price in writing.
- Quotes are based on:
- Information provided by the customer
- Reasonable access to premises
- Estimated volume and weight of goods
- Normal working conditions
- Additional charges may apply for:
- Long carries, &/or difficult access
- Delays outside our control
- Additional or undisclosed items
- Waiting time
If actual conditions differ materially from those disclosed, pricing may be adjusted accordingly.
3. Payment Terms
- Full payment is required before completion of the services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Accepted payment methods include [cash, EFTPOS, credit card, bank transfer].
- We reserve the right to withhold delivery of goods until payment is received, to the extent permitted by law.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24/48 hours before the scheduled service.
- Late cancellations may incur a cancellation fee representing reasonable costs incurred.
- We may reschedule services due to weather, vehicle breakdown, staff illness, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
5. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Ensure safe, legal, and reasonable access to premises
- Obtain parking permits or approvals where required
- Properly pack items unless packing services are purchased
- Disconnect appliances prior to the move
6. Prohibited and Dangerous Goods
We do not transport:
- Flammable, explosive, or hazardous materials
- Perishable food
- Animals, or illegal goods
You are responsible for any loss, damage, or penalties arising from prohibited items being included without disclosure.
7. Damage and Liability
We are not responsible for:
- Items packed by the customer
- Pre-existing damage
- Normal wear and tear
- Mechanical or electrical failure of goods not caused by us
- Delays beyond our reasonable control
Where damage is caused by our failure to exercise reasonable care and skill, our liability will be determined in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
8. Insurance
- Limited liability cover may apply as required by law.
- Transit insurance or full replacement insurance is the customer’s responsibility unless expressly provided in writing.
- Proof of value may be required for insurance claims.
9. Claims
- Any loss or damage must be reported:
- At delivery, or
- Within 24–72 hours in writing
- This reporting period does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
10. Storage (If Applicable)
- Stored goods are held at the owner’s risk.
- Storage fees must be paid as agreed.
- We may exercise a lien over goods for unpaid charges, in accordance with applicable law.
- Storage Access is only by Employees of Gold Coast Leading Removals.
11. Delays and Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including weather events, traffic conditions, accidents, strikes, or government restrictions.
12. Right to Refuse Service
We may refuse or discontinue services if:
- Conditions are unsafe
- Payment is not made
- Prohibited items are identified
- Abusive, threatening, or unsafe behaviour occurs
13. Australian Consumer Law
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to:
- A remedy for a major failure, or
- Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage caused by our failure to comply with consumer guarantees.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights, or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
14. Privacy
We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and the courts of QLD have exclusive jurisdiction.
16. Acceptance
By booking our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
